[Coral-List] call for 2009 second-round Academia Sinica Postdoc fellowship and PhD scholarship

Dear coral-lister,

(1) 2009 second-round Academia Sinica Postdoc fellowship is now  
called for  application from January 15 to March 1, 2009. For those  
who are  interested in applying this fellowship please visit this

fellowship is funded, the commencement of postdoc will be started   
from July 1, 2009 and lasted for 2 years with potential  appointments  
up to 4 years.

(2) 2 PhD scholarship are available to work in the Coral Reef  
Evolutionary Ecology and Genetic Laboratory at the Biodiversity  
Research Centre, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. The applicants will  
need to apply the joint PhD program in the Department of Life  
Science, National Taiwan Normal University.

Coral Reef Evolutionary Ecology and Genetic Laboratory in the   
Biodiversity Research Centre, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan is  
seeking for applicants with PhD degree and potential PhD students  
interested in  (a) coral bleaching, symbiont photophysiology, and  
geographic variation; (b) coral evolution among the three ocean  
provinces; (c) genetic connectivity and migration of corals to high- 
latitudinal Kuroshio region, and (d) outbreak of Terpios sponge and  
coral disease.
