The NOAA Restoration Center's Community-based Restoration Program, in
partnership with the American Sportfishing Association's FishAmerica
Foundation, has a funding opportunity open now to fund community-based
fisheries habitat restoration projects.
This partnership encourages projects that clearly demonstrate
on-the-ground benefits to marine, estuarine or anadromous fisheries
resources, particularly sportfish, and must involve community
participation through an educational or volunteer component tied to the
restoration activities.
*Proposals must be mailed and _received by_ June 22nd. *
Nationwide there is approximately $735,000 available this year and
awards will range from $5,000 to $50,000. Please note that funding for
indirect costs will not be provided.
