A training workshop in the use of the software program PRIMER (Plymouth Routines in Multivariate Ecological Research) will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii May 17-21, 2010. PRIMER consists primarily of a wide range of univariate, graphical, and multivariate routines for analyzing arrays of species-by-samples data from community ecology. Data are typically of abundance, biomass, % area (or line) cover, presence/absence, and arise in biological monitoring of environmental impact and more fundamental studies. Also catered for are matrices of physical values and chemical concentrations which are analyzed in their own right or in parallel with biological assemblage data. For further information about the software, explore the PRIMER-E website at

http://www.primer-e.com/

The workshop will be instructed by Dr. Paul Somerfield, one of the developers of PRIMER. For information on venue, costs, accommodation, and course schedule, contact the local host at
