I would like to share the following announcement for a post-doc with you:
Coral Reef Ecology Post-doc Fall Semester 2010 (21 August – 18 December, 2010)
CIEE Research Station Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles
Application deadline: 1 June 2010 
The CIEE Tropical Marine Ecology and Conservation program in Bonaire is a study abroad program for undergraduate students.  The Coral Reef Ecology Teaching Post-doc at the CIEE Research Station Bonaire will co-teach Independent Research in Marine Ecology/Biology and assist with Coral Reef Ecology, Marine Ecology Field Research Methods and the dive safety program. Duties will include participating in CIEE’s long-term monitoring project including field research, analyzing data, report writing and proposal writing.   In addition, the post-doc will support the program by assisting with day to day operations of the field station.  This position is full-time and will occasionally require you to accompany students on field trips during evenings and weekends as part of the program.  The post-doc must be prepared to live and work at the field research station.    
The minimum qualifications for this role are: a PhD in Biology with an emphasis in marine ecology or biology; scientific diving experience and a comprehensive dive physical (AAUS); broad field experience in marine ecology and excellent analytical skills; demonstrated ability to work as a team member; a commitment to education and research in marine ecology and conservation; an eagerness to work closely with students; an appreciation for field-based education; current certifications in First Aid, CPR, DAN Oxygen Rescue; DAN dive insurance; a driver’s license and the ability to drive a standard.  Preference will be given to candidates with a divemaster or dive instructor certification.
Compensation: a stipend, round trip airfare (up to $1,000) and lodging (private room with bath) will be provided to the successful applicant.  There are no nationality requirements.
