[Coral-List] Montipora in crisis

Dear Coral list

I need your help identifying a suspected disease (possibly white
syndrome) effecting the Montipora at one of our marine reserves in the
Bay of Ranobe, Southwest Madagascar

Colonies are showing acute signs of advancing tissue lesions with
partial and full colony mortality observed

The problem is isolated at present to this specific area; however,
concerns have been raised about possible transference of this
suspected pathogen to other sites of scientific importance in the
lagoon system
