Subject: technology and sharing

Just an observation: it's so great to see the intersection of technology
with data sharing and collaboration (seaturtle.org, WIDECAST, SWoT, SEAMAP,
ACCSTR, etc) and the important and urgent conservation and research
applications (bycatch, climate change, tracking, oil spills, etc) it
facilitates.

Such data sharing has not always been welcomed, easy or smooth and we owe
big thanks to folks like Michael, Brian, Karen and many others for their
leadership and persistence. The payoff for sea turtle research and
conservation can't be underestimated.

If you've got new or old data to share, jump in!

J.
