[Coral-List] Reef Check Australia 2011 Project Officers

Reef Check Australia is looking 
for some motivated and independent
people to assist with the coordination of 
the 2011 Great Barrier Reef
survey season out of 
Townsville, Queensland. If you want to gain
experience in coral reef monitoring and marine management this is an
outstanding 
opportunity!

Candidates should have a marine biology or biology 
degree
(preferably), diving experience and be motivated and able to 
lead
coral reef survey dives. Responsibilities include 
organising surveys
with dive operators up and down the Great Barrier Reef, communicating
with volunteers, and leading the surveys 
based on the Reef Check
methodology. This position (preferably full time, but 
with possible
part-time opportunities) is perfect for marine biology 
graduates
looking to increase their skills and experience in this area. For
