[Coral-List] Help Ban Oil Exploration on Belize Barrier Reef

Help Ban Oil Exploration on the Belize Barrier Reef.

With the assistance of Oceana there is currently a petition circulating in Belize to force a referendum to Ban Offshore Oil Exploration in Belize.
The government has sold exploration rights to a number of companies and before anyone starts drilling this must be stopped!
Only registered Belizean voters can sign the petition - so what can you do?
1. If you know anyone in Belize (besides me - I already signed) contact them and encourage them to sign this petition.
2. Contact The Honourable Dean O. Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize, Belmopan City, Cayo District, Belize. He is a reasonable man pressured by economics.
Use your professional credentials to impress upon him that offshore drilling in Belize will lead to an environmental disaster from which Belize will never recover.
For more information visit www.BelizeMarineTREC.com
Thank you for your assistance,
Dr. K.C. Mattes
