The following position is available through NOAA-ONMS at 
Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument:

Major Duties
The incumbent serves as the Research Coordinator for the 
Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument. He/She will lead various 
management, technical, and administrative tasks related to an ecosystem 
science research program.  These tasks may include: 1) performing 
administrative and management functions, analyzing and advising on 
changes in policies and resources that affect program objectives; 2) 
proposal preparation and tracking; budget planning and tracking; human 
resources management and administration; 3) establishing and maintaining 
relationships with federal , state, and local jurisdictions, industries, 
and environmental organizations; 4) dealing with contentious coastal and 
ocean management issues in complex setting with multiple diverse 
stakeholders and interests; 5)assisting with science related educational 
and outreach materials and products of the Monument.

The work assignments also include: work at sea up to 60 days per year; 
participate in extended field work including but not limited  to 
live-aboard research and education vessels, and field camps; lift up to 
fifty (50) pounds to assist in the transporting of equipment and gear.
