In April 2011, a survey was conducted to gather information from the
research community regarding the development of a standardized census
method for reef fish assemblages. The survey included input on various
methodologies, where particular methods are being used, as well as the
research community’s thoughts on the development of a standardized method.

The results of the survey can be found at the link below:

Many thanks to all those who participated in the survey and forwarded it
to colleagues-- the survey results include a diverse and global
distribution of responses. The information that was gathered and the
comments that were provided were very informative and, in addition to the
website, were presented at a symposium at Scripps Institution of
Oceanography in June 2011. The results are currently under review for a
wider publication. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any
questions or thoughts regarding the survey or results.
Thank you,
Zach Caldwell
