Dear coral-list

Applications are invited for a research manager to work for 3 years at the Global Change Institute of the University of Queensland (Brisbane). The manager will have a scientific background (PhD) and will support the “Ocean and Coasts” and “Biodiversity and Landscapes” themes of the Institute, working with Professors Pete Mumby and Hugh Possingham.

The goal is to develop and manage inter-disciplinary research projects in Australia, SE Asia, and the Pacific Islands. We are looking for someone with a research background but whose primary interest is the development of applied science and conservation projects. There will be scope for carrying out some original research, mostly in the form of synthesis papers, but the primary role is project development and management.

It’s a fixed 3 year appointment with generous salary. Further details can be found on the GCI website.

Cheers

Pete
