The Local Organising Committee for the 12th International Coral Reef Symposium in Cairns, Australia, 9 - 13 July 2012 is pleased to announce eight eminent Plenary Speakers:

The ninth and final Plenary speaker will be chosen by the International Society for Reef Studies in late 2011, as the next recipient of the Darwin Medal.

For your information, the Call for Mini-Symposia closed 1 December and the ICRS 2012 Organising Committee received more than 120 submissions.
We are now working to identify roughly 25 Mini-Symposia themes which will be announced and posted on the Symposium website in early 2011.

The Call for submission of Abstracts for talks and posters will open in July 2011.
