[Coral-List] Maximum length RE: Lionfish.

John,In Fish Base, max length reported for red lionfish (Pterois volitans), the species invading now the Atlantic, is 38 cm. That will be a bit over 1 foot. The same number is indicated in the FL Museum of Natural History page (although they show as 380 mm).I don't know about the report in Dive Training magazine: What was their reference for the 1 m (=100 cm) maximum total length?If anyone in this forum can validate such max length, please let us know.
