[Coral-List] Lionfish length.

Ok, so based on the REEF representative, we are now down to 50 cm (= 1/2 m) maximum total length for invasive lionfish. That exceeds in 12 cm (almost 5 inches) the maximum total length reported (of 38 cm, see links I sent in previous email). The question is: how reliable are those 50 cm? was this lionfish caught, and measured to its total length? or was this an estimate underwater? It is important to clarify this issue, before we move the maximum length to a record 50 cm.
