Some of the world's most unusual "denizens from the deep" are being studied for their toxin mixes and their possible uses in the pharmaceutical industry.
Marine snails, sea snakes, jellyfish and other poisonous species are just a few.
If the poison in the Lionfish could have some pharmaceutical use, large scale commercial harvesting could be viable and be a more suitable substitute for fishing for human consumption.
