The job announcement for an Ocean Acidification Director is posted at 
USAJobs. The vacancy announcement is open from March 4, 2011 and closes 
on March 10, 2011.  Duties include:

- Provide scientific, programmatic and administrative leadership for the 
recently established cross-matrix NOAA Ocean Acidification Research Program.
- Manage and direct the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program which includes 
evaluation of the responsiveness of NOAA's plans for ocean acidification 
research to the nation's needs or ocean acidification research, 
monitoring, and impacts assessment in both coastal and open-ocean regions.
- Develop a vibrant scientific and monitoring research program through 
intra-and interagency collaborations.
- Direct the allocation of resources, represent NOAA interests with 
other federal, state and private institutions, and responsible for 
directing an extramural grants program on ocean acidification.
