Re coral on iron, If you haven't dived beneath any of the @ 4,000 oil 
rigs in the northern gulf of Mexico (they are all iron) you ain't 
seen nothing! They are virtual coral sanctuaries in areas where coral 
would not otherwise be growing. The bottom on which they sit is 
sticky gooey clay...not a coral favorite.  Also saw and photographed 
lots of corals growing on iron pipes and railroad rails at the edges 
of nuclear bomb craters at Enewetak in early 1980s. Some began 
growing the same year the devices were tested. Gene
