[Coral-List] Predatory Open-Access Journals

I have not paid attention to predatory open access journals because
there is a lot of junk science on-line. Of more concern are what might
be termed, "predatory conferences." I often receive invites to present
or chair meeting on suspicious subjects or subjects I know nothing
about. They want an application fee.
Having discussed this with some Faculty here at USF I learned that many
of these meeting actually do not exist. They take your money and run.
Beware. Gene
