[Coral-List] Announcing Summer School ADRIATIC

[20000 leagues]

Marine Explorers Society “20.000 leagues” welcomes students to participate
in marine biology summer courses which expose students to the Adriatic
ecosystem at all organizational levels from ecology and community structure
to ecosystem dynamics, ending with consideration of human impacts. It is an
intensive, integrated program comprising lectures, field surveys and
different practical tasks.

The maximum class size is 6. The format and content of the course is
intended (but not exclusively) for undergraduates and master students (in
the field of biology, ecology, marine sciences etc.).

The courses led by experienced marine biologists and scuba instructors,
cover a broad range of relevant topics and ecological principles in
different marine habitats of the Adriatic Sea with attention given to field
research.

The course is held along the coasts of Middle Adriatic islands aboard 45
feet sailing boat.

Course fee includes tuition, food and non-alcoholic drinks, shared boat
cabin, course fieldwork equipment, MPA entrance tickets, scuba
diving/snorkeling and equipment.

Course fee does not include transportation to Biograd, Croatia and scuba
insurance.
