Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We hope that this email finds you well.

We are organizing a session for ICRS 2016 that will provide an exciting and
dynamic opportunity to further global thinking on coral reef resilience.
Our session will bring together global experts in the science underlying
resilience-based management with practitioners who have expertise in
implementing strategies to support resilience.

The session will focus on the following themes:
1. Recent advances in reef resilience science to inform management and
policy decisions
2. Case studies and applications of resilience assessments and
resilience-based management around the world
3. Frameworks, models and decision-support tools that link connect reef
condition with social and economic use and benefits

If you are interested in participating in our session: “*Innovations in
socio-ecological research for resilience-based management*” (
https://www.sgmeet.com/icrs2016/sessionschedule.asp?SessionID=63), please
submit an abstract by January 15th.

To submit an abstract, go to:
https://www.sgmeet.com/icrs2016/abstractinfo.asp#session; Under session
choices, scroll to *Q: Management*, then select “*Session #63: Innovations
in socio-ecological research for resilience*…” While we cannot guarantee
acceptance of all abstracts, we will do our best to accommodate as many as
possible that fit the scope and goals of our session.

Papers will be considered that address ecological resilience, but priority
will be given to those that link ecological and social assessments, models,
frameworks, and applications.

We look forward to your contribution.

All the best,

Britt Parker
