Dear all,

this is a reminder that the 7th January deadline for abstract submission is fast approaching.
Sorry for any crossposting.

We encourage you to submit an abstract for our session "Annually resolved archives of marine climate change" at the upcoming EGU conference in Vienna next spring (12th - 17th April):

We are inviting oral and poster presentations that focus on annually resolved archives of marine climate change, including in particular archives from bivalve molluscs, corals and fish otoliths. Such high-resolution proxy archives have the potential to make important contributions to our understanding of the regional and near-term impacts of climate change. This EGU session will highlight advances and ongoing research in all the disciplines associated with these archives, including (i) the biological and environmental drivers of growth increment formation; (ii) the use of growth rates as well as structural and geochemical data as proxies of past marine environments and marine climate; and (iii) the use of these archives in proxy-model comparisons.

The session is organized and sponsored by the ARAMACC project, a Marie Curie Initial Training Network funded by the European Commission.

The relevant page in the EGU programme and a link for abstract submission can be found at http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2015/session/18183, and the deadline for abstract submission is, as mentioned above, 7th January 2015.

We very much hope to see you all at EGU2015!

Best wishes and a happy New Year!
