The 2015 postdoc fellowship (http://aao.sinica.edu.tw/english/pro_pfp.php <http://aao.sinica.edu.tw/english/pro_pfp.php>) and 3-year scholarship of Taiwan International Graduate Program (http://biodiv.sinica.edu.tw/TIGP-BP/ <http://biodiv.sinica.edu.tw/TIGP-BP/>) are now open for application.
Biodiversity Research Centre, Academia Sinica (BRCAS,http://biodiv.sinica.edu.tw/en2007/index.php?p_id=1 <http://biodiv.sinica.edu.tw/en2007/index.php?p_id=1> ) is the leading research institute in Taiwan particularly focused on marine biodiversity with an active program in coral reef research. Researchers in the BRCAS are developing programs in two newly-established marine stations in Taiwan: Dongsha Atoll Research Station (http://dongsha.mr.nsysu.edu.tw/bin/home.php <http://dongsha.mr.nsysu.edu.tw/bin/home.php>) and Green Island Marine Research Station. In addition, a long-term ecological research program in the Kenting National Park, southern Taiwan are also available to develop research projects of ocean change impact on fringing reefs. Opportunities in studying coral reef biodiversity, ecology, genomics, evolution, and conservation are available through these two fellowship applications. We are inviting those candidate who are interested in (1) coral reef resilience and modelling; (2) mesophotic reef community; (3) symbiont diversity and thermal physiology of corals; and (4) connectivity to contact Prof. Allen Chen (cac at gate.sinica.edu.tw <mailto:cac at gate.sinica.edu.tw>) for further detail.
