[Coral-List] PhD opportunity in Australia

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies  is seeking a PhD student for a project on non-genetic inheritance and stress tolerance in corals. The candidate must have completed a First Class Honours or Master's degree and have research experience in population genetics and molecular biology of marine organisms, including coral-algal symbiosis. The candidate must also have training in epigenetic gene expression. Demonstrated ability to organise and manage a large research project and experience with scanning electron microscopy are required. Only candidates with a strong publication record will be considered.

PhD scholarship funding will be for three years. In 2015 the stipend rate will be $25,849 p.a. Applicants must be available to commence studies by 1 June 2015.
