Hollis Gear Award Competition 2015
 
Hollis gear (www.hollisgear.com <http://www.hollisgear.com/>) is funding an award of $2500 in Hollis diving equipment for an AAUS Student member engaged in, or planning to begin, a research project in which diving is used as a principal research tool.
Applicants for research awards must fulfill the following requirements:

Be a current member of AAUS (student or full member).
Be enrolled in or formally accepted into a master or doctoral program.
Submit electronically a brief proposal (3-5 pages) describing the principal research project, relevance to this award (primarily how the equipment and training could advance the research effort), and a detailed budget. Student efforts to secure matching funds from academic department or school are desirable and should be described in the budget section.
Have a letter of support submitted electronically from a faculty advisor.
Write an article for the E-Slate, an AAUS news publication, describing the research effort.
Present the results of their research at an AAUS symposium or other scientific meeting within one year of the project’s completion.
Please note that persons are NOT eligible to compete for more than one AAUS scholarship per year, excluding the Kevin Flanagan Travel Award.
