Weseek applications from outstanding candidates to teach and conduct externallyfunded interdisciplinary research in the field of Biological Oceanography. Requirements: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and some working experience bythe start of screening. We seek highly motivated candidates with a strongcommitment to excellence in teaching, student advising and research in theirfield of expertise. Significant experience and excellence in teaching at undergraduateand postgraduate levels would be a distinct advantage. An established record ofsuccessful grant applications and peer-reviewed research publications isrequired. A keen interest in relating to complementary research within theDepartment (http://omansea.org) is critically important. Duties: The appointee would be expected to: 1) teach and develop variety of coursesrelated to his/her specialty, as well as more general courses at undergraduateand postgraduate levels; 2) attract and supervise students at MSc and PhD level;3) develop their own research program and work as part of an inter-disciplinaryresearch team; 4) provide community service to the general public and the Governmentalinstitutions.Review of applications will begin immediately.
