[Coral-List] Call for a post-doctoral fellow at CSM in Monaco

Dear Coral-listers,

 

The Centre Scientifique de Monaco (CSM) is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to
join the Physiology/Biochemistry team led by Sylvie Tambutté. The team is
working on coral physiology, using a variety of approaches, including in
vivo cell imaging, molecular biology, and other cell physiology techniques.

To apply, candidates are invited to propose a research project related to
the mechanisms underlying coral biomineralization, which may involve new
experimental approaches or those currently used by the team. The proposal
should include a breakdown of equipment required, special reagents/ analyses
required and a research time plan.  

 

The research proposal should be no longer than 4 pages and be accompanied by
a CV, PDFs of recent publications, names and email addresses of three
referees, and a cover letter to: Sylvie Tambutté (

Fellowship details are as follows: Host Research Institution: Centre
Scientifique de Monaco, 8 Quai Antoine 1°, 98 000 Monaco. Fellowship Tenure:
A period of 12 months up to a maximum of 24 months.  A net monthly allowance
of 2700 euros. Social security contributions are paid by the CSM. 

 

Selection criteria include: PhD degree obtained in related discipline,
relevant research experience in biomineralization/ calcification, excellent
publication record in the field, ability to collaborate and excellent
communication skills.

 

Applications will be received until the 15th of June 2015, for interviews in
July, final decision in September and start by February 2016.
