Weseek applications from outstanding candidates to teach and conduct extramurallyfunded interdisciplinary research in the field of marine biology. Candidates inall areas are welcome to apply but we are particularly interested in applicantsspecializing in ichthyology and fisheries science. 

Requirements: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and some working experience bythe start of screening. We seek highly motivated candidates with a strongcommitment to excellence in teaching, student advising and research in theirfield of expertise. Significant experience and excellence in teaching atundergraduate and postgraduate levels would be a distinct advantage. Anestablished record of successful grant applications and peer-reviewed researchpublications is required. A keen interest in relating to complementary researchwithin the Department is critically important. 

Duties: The appointee would be expected to: 1) teach and develop variety of coursesrelated to his/her specialty, as well as more general courses at undergraduateand postgraduate levels; 2) attract and supervise students at MSc and PhDlevel; 3) develop their own research program and work as part of aninter-disciplinary research team; 4) provide community service to the generalpublic and the Governmental institutions.
