[Coral-List] Consensus statements in general (and papers)

apologies for the mess of formatting in my recent paper post - somthing about cutting and pasting!! And the article is open-access at least for the moment, so don’t feel shy to click ;-)  http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jbi.12656/abstract !! 




On a more serious note though, supporting Consensus Statements … racing around doing other things I didn’t pause to show my support on the list (do we need 1,000 people to do that?), as being a member of the ISRS, having voted in our representatives and their managing the writing of the statement from among our peers, my support should be assumed … of course, we must speak loudly when needed, but on the coral-list and among peers, a position that makes it through my professional body IS my position (or at least it da** well should be!!).


But now as it turns out I WILL be at an event at the Climate COP coming up, so beleive me I WILL support the statement EXTREMELY LOUDLY!!


Congratulations to ISRS and the writers for putting it together and representing us so well!
