San Salvador, The Bahamas

July 28 - August 11, 2012

Two week field workshop conducted at the Gerace Research Station on San 
Salvador, The Bahamas. The workshop will provide an in depth study of 
Caribbean marine habitats and the processes controlling the abundance 
and distribution of organisms in tropical marine communities. The course 
will emphasize coral reef communities.  Through lectures, observations 
and experiments participates will learn the fauna and flora of the 
habitats and characterize the roles of different ecological processes in 
these communities.

Cost - $1700 plus transportation to the field station.  Fees include 
housing, all meals on site and lab fees. Students wishing academic 
credit can make arrangements to receive credit from the University at 
Buffalo with an additional tuition fee.
