Abstract Deadline: 15 January 2016 (Midnight, Central Standard Time USA / 06:00 GMT)

Session Description: This combined session is aimed at presenting research on the following topics:

1) Phylogenetic studies with a focus on broad taxon groups using high-throughput sequencing

2) Processes driving tropical biodiversity gradients

3) Combining molecular, paleontological and geographic data to assess tropical provinciality

4) Integrating knowledge of evolutionary processes and patterns from population and assemblage scales, to drive conservation action on coral reefs

5) The Other 99% of coral reef biodiversity: standardized observations of cryptobiota, meiofauna, plankton and their microbes
