Dear Coral-listers,

The new issue of REEF ENCOUNTER, the magazine-style news journal of the
International Society for Reef Studies (ISRS), is now available for
download from the ISRS website.

Go to www.coralreefs.org or
www.coralreefs.org/publications/reef-encounters.

The 72 page publication is available free-of-charge to both members and
non-members, although members are given priority in having articles and
short-communications accepted for publication.

The new issue contains several must-read items, including an account of
the role of ISRS at COP21 in Paris (by Sue Wells, Ove Hoegh-Guldberg and
Mireille Guillaume), details of the latest position and prospects
concerning the current global bleaching event (by Mark Eakin and
colleagues at NOAA), and a thought-provoking article on the value of
using models in coral reef ecology research (by Pete Mumby, University
of Queensland).

ENJOY!

Rupert Ormond

Corresponding Secretary, ISRS
