[Coral-List] Sustainable shark and ray tourism events for global audiences

 Next week, the MPA Action Agenda, MPA News, and EBM Tools Network (co-coordinated by NatureServe and OpenChannels.org) are hosting two events on Best Practices on Sustainable Shark and Ray Tourism. The first event, a webinar, is being held at 1 pm UTC (office hours in Europe, Africa, South America, and the eastern United States and Canada) on Tuesday, September 13.
 The second event will be a  follow-up live chat on this topic on Thursday, September 15, at 6 am UTC (office hours in much of Asia and the Western Pacific). Information including how to register for these two events is below. Those attending the live chat on September 15 are encouraged to watch the webinar recording from September 13 if that is possible.

Best Practices on Sustainable Shark and Ray Tourism by Isabel Ender of Manta Trust and Andy Cornish of WWF. WWF, Manta Trust, and Project Aware have collaborated to produce a guide to sustainable shark and ray tourism operations and factsheets that describe three shark and ray tourism sites that utilize MPAs and innovative financing. The webinar will introduce the new guide, due to be released in late 2016, opportunities to take part in training on it, and the factsheets.
