[Coral-List] Upcoming UK and European Coral Reef Meetings

Dear All,

The Reef Conservation UK Committee would like to draw your attention to two
upcoming UK/European based reef meetings:

1. Reef Conservation UK - 26 November 2016
2. European Coral Reef Symposium - 13-15 December 2017


1. 19th Annual Reef Conservation UK 2016

Reef Conservation United Kingdom (RCUK) will again be organizing its annual
one day meeting at London Zoo on 26 November 2016. The event will continue
to highlight the need for multidisciplinary studies of coral reefs and
adjacent environments, and the RCUK themes of conservation, management and
education. RCUK meetings provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow
reef workers and enthusiasts in order to discuss ideas and activities on an
informal basis. While the meetings are principally attended by UK reef
scientists and conservationists, colleagues from elsewhere are very welcome
and encouraged to attend and present.

The call for abstracts is NOW OPEN and should be submitted by Friday 23
September.

2. European Coral Reef Symposium 2017

The next European Coral Reef Symposium, sponsored by ISRS, will be held in
association with the 20th Annual Reef Conservation UK Meeting, in the
Department of Zoology, at the University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, from 13-15
December 2017.

This three day conference is planned as the European Inter-congress
scheduled to take place approximately midway between ICRS13 and ICRS14. The
meeting will consist of talks, poster sessions, social events and
workshops. More information will be posted online over the coming months
