Dear Coral-listers,
I would like to announce that Prof Morgan Pratchett has recently been appointed EIC at Coral Reefs. Morgan replaces Prof Howard Lasker who has done a wonderful job in promoting and steering Coral Reefs over the past few years, and I am sure Morgan will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the role in the coming years.

Morgan Pratchett is a research Professor based in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia, working solely on coral reefs. He has broad interests in population and community ecology of coral reef organisms, including corals, fishes and crown-of-thorns starfish. His current research focuses on major disturbances that impact coral reef ecosystems, with a view to understanding differential responses and vulnerabilities among coral reef organisms.

Morgan has published >200 journal articles papers, including 43 manuscripts in Coral Reefs. He has been on the Editorial Board of Coral Reefs for many years and has also served as a councilor and Recording Secretary for the Society.
