[Coral-List] Causes and consequences of Diadema loss

Hello Coral Listers,

We have a new paper out on long-term trends in Caribbean reef urchin
populations. Our study tracked changes in the abundance of urchin spine
fossils over the past 3,000 years to better understand the baseline
abundance of the long spined urchin Diadema antillarum and the
circumstances surrounding its dieoff and non-recovery:
