Dear ISRS members and other coral-listers,

The latest edition of the International Society for Reef Studies (ISRS) 
news journal /REEF ENCOUNTER/ has been published and can be downloaded 
(by both members and non-members) from the home page of the society's

The issue contains important news about society awards and grants, and 
about the next European and International Coral Reef Symposia. It also 
includes impressive articles overviewing the terrible extent of the 
recent third global coral bleaching event and describing the production 
of the dramatic documentary film /CHASING CORALS/ which illustrates the 
impact of bleaching and which we urge you to watch - it is available on
