Hello Coral List,

my journal article on livelihoods from *Oslob Whale Sharks* In The
Philippines has been published today. The case study uses the *sustainable
livelihoods framework* to identify how livelihoods to 177 artisanal fishers
ripple throughout their community. At Oslob, livelihoods form the basis of
collective engagement in sustainable integrated coastal management. Oslob
Whale Sharks provides finance for  the protection of whale sharks and five
marine reserves. There is a connection between livelihoods and improvements
in biophysical conditions.
