Dear Coral List Membership:

Happy New Year!

The Institute for Sustainable Technology (iSustain Tech) is offering
American Association of Underwater Scientists (AAUS) Scientific Diving
Certification programs in Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands. iSustain Tech
is a non-profit research and educational foundation established in
Bonaire in 2016.

The certificate programs consist of two courses: 1) Scuba for Scientific
Diving Two and 2) your choice of a Field Research Methods course
(Underwater Archaeology, Underwater Photography, Coral Reef Ecology,
Reef Fish Ecology, or Marine Geology). Programs are taught over a
two-week period. By successfully completing the two courses;
participants will receive 100 hours of preparation to become certified
Scientific Divers with AAUS. These intensive programs have excellent
results in terms of acquiring excellent dive skills and contemporary
field research techniques in the discipline. It fast-tracks the AAUS
certification that can take more than a year when done piecemeal.

You must be an experienced diver (20 dives within the last year or 100+
dives logged), or take the iSustain Scuba for Scientific Diving 1 –
Fundamentals course, (one-week program), to qualify for the Scientific
Diving Certification programs.

If you are interested in learning more about the programs; you can look
