Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the upcoming training course on
"mapping technologies in coral reef environments" organised by the
Submarine Geomorphology Working Group (IAG) in Maldives, at the MaRHE
Center (Magoodhoo island, Faafu atoll, Maldives), from 10th to 19th March
2019.

The course will entail an overview of the most advanced techniques used to
collect elevation data in coral reef environments, spanning from
traditional acoustic mapping (multibeam echosounder bathymetry and
backscatter, shallow seismic reflection profiling) and seafloor imaging and
sampling techniques (ROV and grab sampling) to UAV and topographic surveys.
