On Nov 7th there will be an information meeting, and in that context I'm reminded of this conclusion from a study of the 2013-2015 dredging:

"Results indicate increased sediment accumulation, severe in certain times and places, and an associated biological response (e.g., higher prevalence of partial mortality of corals) extended up to 700 m from the channel, whereas project-associated monitoring was limited to 50 m from the channel." (Miller et al. (2016), Detecting sedimentation impacts to coral reefs resulting from dredging the Port of Miami, Florida USA. PeerJ 4:e2711; DOI 10.7717/peerj.2711)

The technology to do this in real time exists and is being used abroad. When will it be used in Miami, where it is manufactured?

Hmmm
