Dear Coral-listers,

This is a message directed at ISRS (International Society for Reef
Studies) members, asking those who have not yet voted in the the current
Society referendum, _please to do so as soon as practicable_! You should
have received an email with inset voting buttons from the membership
services office at SGMeet. Just check the email and click on the buttons!

The referendum is to approve a few small changes to the Society's
Constitution, as being recommended by the Society's Council. We are
urging members to vote because the changes need to be approved by a
majority of at least 40% of members.

The changes are simple: to allow committee chairs to serve ex-officio as
Council members, to allow the President to stand for two consecutive
terms (as for other elected officers), and....to amend the name of the
Society to be "the International Coral Reef Society".

_If you think you are a member but have not received a voting email:_
this may be because you have not yet paid your subscription for the
year. If that's the case, we will send a voting email as soon as you
renew your membership (do this at
http://coralreefs.org/membership/joining-isrs-paying-your-subscription/).
Or if you think you have renewed but still not received a voting email,
please email membership services at "isrs at sgmeet.com".

Other coral-listers are of course most welcome to join or re-join.
Membership dues (giving on-line access to the Society's Journals and
sicount vrates for the regional and international symposia) range from
US$20 - $80 depending on status (student or academic etc.) and
nationality (using the World Bank classification).

with thanks for your attention,

Rupert
