I would like to draw your attention to the Coral Reefs journal special issue on the 2014-2017 Global bleaching event, which has many interesting reports and perspectives on the event.

As coral scientists, I find there is much we can learn from this event especially if these events are going to be more frequent in the future. Excellently edited by Mark Eakin, Hugh Sweatman and Russel Brainard:
