[Coral-List] carbon offsetting AND slowing down

I rarely comment but this time I will. The bullying of those who do not uncritically accept the climate change mantra is obvious in the public discourse, and those who depend on funding for putting food on the table cannot risk speaking up since we live in a climate (no pun intended) now that has scientists ostracized for being critical, although that is our job.

In my view - no matter the importance of the content, anonymous postings have no place on any serious list and I would hope that our moderators do not allow such things to continue going forward. Based on the vigorous debate seen on a number of topics on coral list that are always clear as to the sender, I don't see why 'bullied into silence' should somehow be seen as a excuse for anonymity.
