*Deep submersible dives shed light on rarely explored coral reefs

Through a series of submersible dives in the Hawaiian Archipelago, a
research team from the University of Washington and other institutions
found a surprising amount of coral living in areas where light levels are
less than 1% of the light available at the surface.
