While you debate the dynamics of population growth and climate change one thing remains clear. Effective communication between the scientific community and the public is more important than ever. So while it may be increasingly difficult to remain genuinely optimistic, we should all be mindful of the fact that efforts like this one featuring Joanie Kleypas can serve to change public perceptions and that can make a real difference.
