U.S. Coral Reef Management Fellowship for Puerto Rico 2020-2022 - Reopened with new Scope of Work to focus on Puerto Rico Coral Reef Disease Mapping and Preparedness and Response Outreach

The Coral Reef Management Fellowship Program is a partnership between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Coral Reef Conservation Program, U.S. Department of Interior's Office of Insular Affairs, U.S. All Islands Coral Reef Committee and Nova Southeastern University's Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography to provide funding for two-year positions that strive to address both current capacity gaps, as well as to build longer-term capacity in the jurisdictions by placing highly qualified individuals whose education and work experience meet each jurisdiction's specific coral reef management needs.

The partnership is currently recruiting for the Puerto Rico Coral Fellow to begin in January 2020.

This position has its own distinct work plan to address coral reef management capacity and provides training and professional development opportunities.

Qualified candidates meeting stated educational requirements with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants need to have completed posted educational requirements by December 2019 and must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Note that fluency in oral and written Spanish is a requirement.
