The Halmos College of Natural Sciences & Oceanography at Nova Southeastern University offers cutting edge degree programs in Biology, Marine Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Environmental Science.

NSU’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences & Oceanography administers degrees in a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science in Marine Science or Biological Science, and a Ph.D. program in Marine Biology. These degree programs are featured on the 300-acre Main Campus located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and an 86,000 square foot environmentally friendly Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center located in Dania Beach, FL.

The Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center is a $50 million facility containing multi-disciplinary academic research and classroom instruction.  This facility contains laboratories in mapping and geospatial analysis, microbiology, genetics and genomics, coral reef restoration, wet laboratories for seawater usage, deep-sea biology and much more.

The students will be working with distinguished faculty in conducting advanced research in various areas of interest.

This program features (3) specific Concentrations:

*Marine Biology
*Coastal Zone Management
*Marine Environmental Science

At least 42 credits must consist of upper-level course work and at least 24 credits must consist of dissertation research.
