I am pleased to announce a funded graduate student position (MS or PhD) in climate / paleoclimate in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona (starting fall 2021).



The successful applicant contribute to an integrated education and research program about climate change and resilience in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The project will leverage coral samples and state-of-the-art climate models to study changes in El Nino, sea level rise, westerly winds, and typhoons in the Marshall Islands. This project will also build on existing partnerships with the Marshall Islands Marine Resource Authority (MIMRA), Biosphere 2 (B2), and Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) to develop cross-cultural K-16 education program to train next generation of solution scientists and inspire solutions for an improved future.
