The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) announced the release of
the 2020 Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Coral Reef Conservation Fund:
https://www.nfwf.org/programs/coral-reefs

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of NFWF’s partnership with NOAA’s
Coral Reef Conservation Program to conserve coral reef ecosystems. In 2020,
the program will award up to $1.5 million in grant funding to reduce
land-based sources of pollution, advance coral reef fisheries management,
support recovery and resiliency of U.S. coral reef systems, and improve
watershed management planning.

Coral Reef Conservation Fund grant pre-proposals are due March 17, 2020. An
applicant webinar will be held February 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. Eastern time.

Projects of interest will identify opportunities where improvements to
natural infrastructure can reduce sedimentation to nearby reefs, establish
biological integrity characteristics on priority reefs in Hawaii, Florida
and Puerto Rico to monitor impact from mitigation efforts, and implement
management plans to reduce localized threats to reefs.

NFWF manages the Coral Reef Conservation Fund in partnership with NOAA's
Coral Reef Conservation Program, with additional support from the USDA’s
Natural Resource Conservation Service and Aramco. Additional information
about the program can be found here:
