Dear CoralList

——————————
Short version: If you haven’t already contributed to our survey of coral restoration projects worldwide, we have reopened it to update the restoration database. Please access survey here: coralrestorationsurvey.com<http://coralrestorationsurvey.com> . Closing date: 1st July 2020

——————————
Long version:
At the beginning of the year we published a review of the current knowledge of coral-restoration methods where we identified a surprising diversity of coral species used, and highlighted evidence for our abilities to successfully grow corals at smaller scales. We also identified a suite of common issues associated with many projects worldwide, and suggested actions to improve reef restoration going forward.

You can find the open access review paper here: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0226631

The review was accompanied with an interactive database, available here: https://www.gbrcoralrestoration.org/data-vis

Our team are now busy updating the database with new papers and projects that have emerged since the last cut-off (31st January 2019), to make sure the database stays as relevant and up to date as possible. In order to capture information not contained in traditional scientific literature, we have re-opened our survey and urge any practitioners who did not fill out the original survey to do so now, to make sure your project is covered in the most comprehensive database to date of global coral restoration projects.

Fill out the survey here (about 10 minutes): coralrestorationsurvey.com<http://coralrestorationsurvey.com>

Please provide your answers before the 1st July 2020.
